A reporter from the Wall Street Journal who actually wrote a well-known column called a hurt on the street was convicted for insider trading. He gave his columns and some of the information to his partner at the time who actually would trade on it. By stealing information from the firm that's thinking of doing that acquisition you've actually harmed that firm.
