Is Inflation Reducing Healthcare Costs?
I feel like this has been written about as long as I've been in healthcare, like 20 years and started, you know, it's the prices stupid. As long as we have a system that's fundamentally sits between our insurance companies and providers whose incentives are to raise the prices of healthcare, I think cost will continue to go up. The innovation is directed in any meaningful way at reducing long-term structural issues in healthcare. We're trying to reduce costs in the short term next year, but mortgaging the health of many, many Americans over time.
