Is God a Moral Monster?
Critics both from outside and inside the faith point to texts that show God behaving badly. How do you morally make sense of a passage like this right? There's a historical narrative here that must be understood rather than assuming that oh what if God told me to do that in a dream, he says. We see that God is going to work it out because he's promised this and so we're going to work in accordance with that.
