On May 1st, Jordan Yilly was killed on a New York City subway train. One man put him in a lethal chokehold while others held him down. Daniel Benny, who put Neely in the chokehold, turned himself into police and was charged with second-degree manslaughter. In many cities, not only New York, homelessness has become a point of conflict. These twin crises of housing and of mental health are truly overwhelming.
