When I read Mass for the first time, I started sharing those books with my friends. For me reading masks, I had a fair background in Einstein and relativity. I'd never read Joyce. Never heard of Alice for Crowley. My friend Paul Chewy had read Crowley, didn't know Einstein or Joyce. His teacher wife Kathy had just read Ulysses, knew very little about Einstein or Crowley. And so it's interesting, we encountered three very different texts.
