The guidance for prostate cancer detection as it relates to primary care has recently been updated. The main change was that NG12 actually put some numbers around age adjusted thresholds for PSA testing. There is a backdoor, if you like, for men to get opportunistic PSA screening Through what's called the prostate cancer risk management program which also updated their guidance for GPs in May last year. And they don't advocate ageadjusted thresholds for asymptomatic screening.
