Habib B. Raheel is best known as leader of the Brooklyn rock band Habib B. The 14 track album borrows from field recordings, audio from her family's home movies and even audio relate on singing in farce. It's inspired by an Iranian poet by the name of Farug Farwakzad. This album reminds me a little bit of Lush's Jackson, Beastie Boy elements throughout the project.
