Kathleen O'Brien: What can we expect to be the effect of the Justice Department prosecuting seditious conspiracy charges against groups like the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers? She says there's two things to consider. One is what is a responsible and socially appropriate response to acts of violence that target in many ways the very nature of what it is to be an American. There has to be a real legal outcome when these things happen, she adds.
