God Is Not Even Your Butler, Right?
When you say God is my friend, there's a possibility of misunderstanding. Lewis makes the industry point that when you say God, the father or Christ, the bridegroom, it's so obviously a metaphor. He says we need to remember some of these other things are obviously metaphors, but you can push the friend metaphor too hard.
