The origins of deep learning go back to the late fifties, and a someone named frank rosenblatt. Geoffrey henton came up with this concept of back propagation, which was a core part of deep learning. And then all of a sudden, hinton became the gy in artificial intelligence. But it took him like 30 or forty years to gette ah, so hes still around, still alive.
