Buddha saw a man called Gandatta who had suffered for months in hell. Gandatta swam through the lake of blood, and instead of crying out in pain, he whistled happily. But Buddha could not keep watching because it was simply too horrible. And indeed, this is how Gandatta died: murdered by men like him.
