Do You Know What You're Doing?
When practising or doing a run through, playing by yourself, is because you know what you want to do. In reality, it may not be as much of that particular swell or articulation as i thought i was. If you're preparing for a recording, you'd better record the group and see if the group is doing what you think. I also just want to say one thing hat i've always found to be sort of interesting: Different people may have different priorities. That's usually pretty good indicator, but not always. And like maybe thousands of concerts that were played in my time, and i did play in one group with the same four people for 20, 20 years
