The Origins of TikTok
TikTok was created in September of 2016 by a Beijing-based company called Bike Dance, Bite with a Y. Within one year of this thing launching, Duyin had 100 million users, one billion plus videos viewed each day. It's got a quote that's quite prescient, I think, and pretty realistic: "There is some weird stuff behind that curtain"
