The History of Magic in the Middle Ages

From 1200 to the 1400s, intellectual activity in Europe became more vibrant than it had been since the disintegration of the Roman Empire. Universities sprung up to educate young men, many of these young men became interested in a new, scholarly pursuit of magic. This included astronomy closely related to astral magic, and of course alchemy. Or defined as any magical power or process of transmuting a common substance into a great value.
