How to Study Ancient Languages?
When i was studying those ancient, ancient languages, it was in high school and in college. And the focus on that was translation. So you'll learn the structure and the cases without really studying grammar. There's certain words like ma, which is mum, pita, or bak, which is dad. It has in common with japanese, the particles. For instance, if you were going to say, talk to me, you would say, much ko bolie. That co is the same as in japansi. Even the word order between the two language s is very similar.
