Trying to get pleasure from sense contact has many, many defects. One defect is that you have to accumulate it. How few people in the world even today out of 7 billion can accumulate enough? The person who was so young and beautiful at one time is now old and not so appealing anymore. You see, everything is changing. Everything is subject to change. By the time you join the job or within some time, whatever you have learned is just outdated. So whether it's knowledge, it's something as gross as a car or as subtle as knowledge, everything changes and gets outdated.
