Is There a Future for Cueable?

Every time the cueable runs, you ask the query locator for whatever number of records you want. I mean, if they're putting that type of investment in it, it seems plausible that definitely future and possibly batchable will be phased out. The other one we already talked about, or at least kind of less sorting via comparator. And then generics. So do they expand on generics at all? Or they just kind of just said it. Someone in the Slack post said this has been on the roadmap for like seven years,. But to see it come back up is at least encouraging helpful.
