The Senate Bill - The Vice President's Role in Counting Votes
Shavya: The vice president's role is an important piece of this in large part because it played so prominently in the last election. But what the bill would do is make clear what I think is already the right interpretation of current law, he says. Shavya: It would still serve as the presiding officer but not have the ability to make substantive decisions about which electors to count or to resolve disputes and the like.
