Ben Fishman on Egypt's Future
Ben Fishman is a senior fellow with the Washington Institute and a member of the program on Arab politics. He previously served on the US National Security Council where he held several posts including Director of North Africa and Jordan, Director of Libya and Executive Assistant to Ambassador Dennis Ross. The Saudis has been the transitional savior of Egypt as well and they invest in huge amounts along with the Emiratis to stabilize the country after the revolution. That was part of their being scared of the Muslim Brotherhood takeover but the Muslim Brotherhood has effectively not a political force anymore in Egypt.
