Is There a Difference Between the Extreme Role and the Restless?
When you practice internal family systems for yourself, it's really hard not to see everybody else's parts. So focus on your side of the street. You will start to notice everyone other's parts. And so your job there is to be compassionate, to see them with compassion, and to take a beat and say, okay, I noticed that there's a part of me that wants to be reactive to this protector part right now. What does that need? Maybe it needs to go deep into its self or maybe it needs to step away from itself. There's totally different way of living without being extreme...without being addicted"
