The Politics of Innovation in China
In 1980s, 72% of Indians had no schooling; in 2010, it was only 33%. In 2000s, there were around 110 researchers in India per million people. But by 2010, India had gone up to 157 more or less and China has shot up to around 900. This shows the scale of improvement that happened. And also, this concept that has been proposed by the Actela in his book, like Politics of Innovation, about creative insecurity. That means that when a nation feels insecure about acquisition, wants to compete with her, with her external actor, I think that creates kind of insecurity, which then pushes them to innovate.
