The Opposition to the Supreme Court in Israel
The Supreme Court is the only balance to an unlimited power by the executive branch and the parliament. So it's a protection as you see it against tyranny by the government that's in power. I have been astounded by the breadth and depth of the protests, reservists in the military not showing up for duty out of protest. The people of Israel realize that the reform that the government is trying to promote is completely changing the very fabric of Israeli society.
