Is SVB a Good Investment?
In a free market, people can buy it or not buy it. It's up to them. iPhone competitors have gone out of business because it was more successful. But in a regulated environment with deposit insurance being the key to all banking, there is nothing wrong with that. SVB made some bad investments but almost every bank did as well. The difference between SVB and every other bank is that SVB had 93% of uninsured deposits. And once a bank run is successful on one bank, we've seen this before,. another bank is run on, and another bank is ran on., he said.
