The anarchist side and the social side have split pretty far apart. There are socialists who do think the state, in many ways, is the saviour. But unless there's some structure thatl allow for real democratization, true decentralization, true ownership on the hands of those people who work, then you that surplus is going to end up in somebody's hands.
