The Life and Times of Sorg Sorg
Sorg was a major figure within the leftist circles in Shanghai, but not trying to associate too directly because his cover was as this German journalist. He missed Stalin's purges and was protected within the Red Army so that he ends up in the 1940s making radio reports to Moscow about what the Japanese are doing. The two of them were finally caught and hanged by the end of the war. But Sorg is still celebrated in certainly in Russia, even Russian, the post-Soviet circles as an amazing figure.
