How Do You Retain Your Culture When You're Raising Children?

i've always wondered when people, eveno who come together from different parts of india. How do you integrate and retain the aspects of each other's culture? We need to be very, very thoughtful on what our culture, religion, whatever it is, means to us individually before we can even think about putting it on to art our children, right? i want to take part o that and put them on to my child, but i also have to be careful on how much i do that without making them feel like one is good and one is bad.
