Liberal Cosmopolitanism Is All About Building Institutions
Liberal cosmopolitanism is all about building institutions which ameliorate social tensions, lower the cost associated with that interaction. Ever since nine 11, we've been doing the opposite of liberal cosmopolitanism and running in the opposite direction. In each of these three things, government grows, right, because of the crisis. So we can say that government fails because it grows, and it grows because it fails. And it's this endless cycle. That's what a kid grows up with. Except all of the teachers, rather than teaching about economics, have now shifted to the policy world.
