Cryptocurrency and the Centralization Issue

When Bitcoin first emerged, one of its big selling points was we shouldn't have these big powerful institutions that are controlling our currency and finance. And now you have these big giant institutions like Coinbase emerging, which are acting in very similar ways. So let me take a stab at defending these large exchanges. They're not issuing authority in any sense. You can switch out of it very easily.
