Seneca wrote a letter to one of his students. In it, he offers advice on living as if God were watching you. He also suggests that being left alone with yourself is an unfortunate thing. The only advantage of solitude is that one is not confiding in anyone. But the foolish person loses this advantage for he betrays himself.
