The iPhone and the Mac App Store
In 2008 when you could start selling an iPhone app we made a version of one of our products and we tried to sell it for ten whole dollars which was way cheaper than anything we had on the Mac at the time where everything was 20 30 40 50 dollars. Despite the fact that the iPhone had millions upon millions of users none of them wanted to pay ten dollars for a product especially that they couldn't use without paying for it first so very early on we were dissuaded from from much iOS development.
