The Importance of Hanging On
The writer acknowledges that the judgment of God rarely comes speedily. What this seems to describe is a man who prefers riding on a high horse into hell than he does riding on a donkey with Jesus into heaven. The next moment after a final effort, the spirit wrenched itself free from his flesh. This is what we see in this fallen world in which we live. It's terrifying. But there will be a reckoning. There also will be relief. All will be well with those who fear God.
