The Growing Reach of Money in Markets, in Social and Civic Life
In most western societies, economic inequalities are growing rather than declining. Doesn't money to day buy opportunities for your children that other people won't have? Aren't we seeing things in health and education actually being more market eyes and more unequally distributed than 50 years ago? I think that's clearly the case, jonathan, and it worries me a great deal. What's really at stake is whether we will continue to think of ourselves as sharing a common life.
