There have been hardly any movies or television productions about shakespeare, which is probably ly because we know so little about the actual man. He's portrayed in movie in contrast to other figures that people may know of from that era. Particularly he's shown as being young and brash, in contrast to christopher marlowe,. Marlowe was an iconoclast, a rebel. His material was politically taboo, sexually taboo, and he died in a bar fight. And he was an exact contemporary of sh Shakespeare, meaning they were born in the same year, in 15 64.
