College Democrats in the 80s and 90s

The energy and enthusiasm can wax and wane from what election to the other. I remember organizing the 100 days for Clinton's first term event 1993 trying to get a dozen people out for a hundred days event but there was no enthusiasm. It really crystallized that the circus tent nature of a lot of campaigns particularly at that period of time it was a lower salience politics in the 80s and 90s when I was growing up. Today with youth having lived through so many of the events that we've seen in this century, I think there's a higher salience overall.
