Lisa: I'm often baffled that people can look at these stories and still determine we need to cancel them it's the most illogical argument. How do you read all of these stories of like people like frederick douglas and determine these aren't relevant to us? Lisa: Sometimes schools who are on this agenda to say we want to be more culturally responsive choose books that aren't a part of the great conversation. They have lost that chain that links us to the beginnings of humanity, those human experiences that are foundational to who we are.
