Sally Kohn: I spent the better part of my early career about six or seven years working with kids initially and there were kids from like, you know, the flostaker system. So they had a problem attaching to their bio parent because maybe the bio parent was on drugs, this and all the time, or just outside of the home for whatever reason. As an adult, this person would be what we would call an avoidance. They don't really know how to connect to others. And so really working with them to understand their own history helps me understand the inner child and each adult today.Kohn: Being able to speak to that, I think comes from working with kids
