If we empowered individual bureaucrats or kind of, it felt like there was an actual decision maker and a person you could sit across the table from. I think that that probably would be a much better system. In Japan, all they have to do is check all the things. There's no discretion of the bureaucrat that says you get to decide what gets built and what doesn't. None. All your job is to simply sit there and say, does it follow these laws? Does it follow those laws? You're you're a computer. You're checking things. And we get having AI do this at some point. But it hopefully doesn't hallucinate environmental violations.
