Dominicans Expel Hastens
In 18 o four, there was the haytian revolution. Both sides brought large numbers of enslaved africans to work,. And it became the wealthiest colony of the french empire. But not for long because in 18 22, haiti invades the other spanish controlled half of the island and they rule over the unified island for 22 years. They end slavery, but eventually, dominicans push the hatians back and declare their independence. To this day, actually, dominicans celebrate their independence, not from spain, who is their colonizer, but from hayti.
