What Was Your Personal Relationship With Progress?

I'm wondering what was your personal sort of relationship to this idea of progress from an early stage to after writing this? I know for me, like with my training in cultural studies and media studies, I went from having a general idea that progress is good. As soon as now when I hear progress, I think, this is probably code someone is using for racism or for the destruction of the environment. And it kind of flips somewhere in grad school or maybe undergrad, depending on experience.
