The National Crime Victimization Survey found that 77% of incidents of rape and sexual assault in the United States were not reported to the police. Yet, criminologists and social scientists have determined that false allegations of rape are between 2% and 8%, which is in line or less than false allegations of other crimes. "Even if I don't understand it, there's no excuse for it," says Anita Sarkeesian.
