The ambulance drivers were also African American. They hung out for about 20 minutes while Tyree was on the ground bleeding, they didn't immediately attend to his wounds. The paramedics were not nearly as attentive to the needs of Tyree Nichols. If he simply complied with the police, his arrest would have gone by without incident and he would be alive today.
