The Challenges of Solstice Sailing
Some of the most challenging solstice sailing I've done is crossing the Anagata passage because I work the Caribbean a lot. It's an 80 nautical mile stretch of open ocean where you've got two converging currents. At one point I had to hove two because I was taking so much water over the side it started to flood the cabin. When I'm crossing the Antigottia passion, some of the worst stuff I've had is I did a trip with 25 gusts and a 30, close hauled into that stuff.
