Can Propofol Cross the Placenta?
Remifetinol is sounds like it's very safe and that makes sense because of the short half-life. If you do give a longer acting narcotic anything from fentanyl or even more longer acting, delauded or morphine the downside would be potentially respiratory depression in the neonate if this was if a baby were actually going to be born right there are downsides in a woman who's let's say 30 weeks pregnant having an appendectomy. So propofol obviously is lipophilic it can cross the placenta.
