Are You Taking the Archive Seriously, or Are You Going to Inject Your Own Interpretation?

I think that if we don't depart from the perspective of staying true to what the archive gives us, then there's only a risk that we're going to inject their own interpretation on to a document. The best way to sort of safeguard that is to ho knon stay true to what it's saying. And that, you know, the same goes for an activist tan organizer as for an intellectual, right? You have to believe them when they say that they want something. That can go really, really, really spectacularly wrong.
