Introduction
During the pandemic, many of us found ourselves in public spaces that didn't seem to be serving us. The jagged and awkward design of some park benches makes it such that no one can lie down. Women or other vulnerable citizens may avoid walking through dimly lit streets alone at night. These have to be free places where anyone can go to feel, to rest and to commune. We'll hear directly from three experts on how public spaces are failing in ways we might not have considered.
