In the book, Jessica describes a producer type that told her he knew someone who'd been after her forever to set her up with. And as fate would have it, that guy was the movie star. The mystery actor invited Jess to his bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel while he was getting ready for an awards show. But she saw pictures of him on the red carpet with a woman who was very clearly his girlfriend. He apparently promised her that his relationship was completely over and that he just didn't want the press to know.
