The Age of Instagram Face
The ideal self is the person that you would like to be and the real self is who you actually are. Carl Rogers was around before the internet mid century. The bottom line is obviously our ideal selves, at least the versions we put online don't resemble our real selves. This reminded me of this essay I read a while ago. It's called the age of Instagram face,. Social media face tune and plastic surgery created a single cyborgian look.
