Do We Need Physical Office Spaces in Knowledge Work?
Andy Cohen: We need physical space to get together, whether that is an office that a company rents for that explicit purpose. He says knowledge work by its very nature should happen in digital spaces because that's where knowledge is kept. "There's no reason to pull somebody back into an office for them to sit alone at a desk wearing headphones," he says. 'We're not like battery hens who need to lay code eggs every day'
