Amioderone was better than lidocaine for getting people to hospital admission surviving to hospital admission. Safety wise there was no difference in the number of patients who needed atropine or vasopressors for hemodynamic instability between the groups. The European resuscitation council released a 2018 update on the use of anti-rhythmic drugs for cardiac arrest and they recommended using amioderone.
