The Evolution of Male Domination

There is very little evidence to suggest that male domination stretches all the way back into deep time. We don't see, for example, if you study Neolithic societies, one of the places that I visited when I was writing patriarchs. There weren't even big size differences between men and women. They spent roughly the same amount of time indoors and outdoors. It's only really an ancient Greece that you see separate spheres of a woman's place is the domestic one and the man's place are the public one. But like I say, that emerged very, very late into human history.
